This is my entry for the Blogger's Quilt Festival. Thanks Amy for doing this for us. It is a joy to see all the other quilts.
This is the 4th in a series of horse quilts which I had the honor of hanging at our main library during the World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Ky. I named it Three Friends.
It is made with my Stained Glass Applique technique, but I attempted to stylize this piece. Perhaps I will play with that technique some more in the future. I thought I was finished with horse quilts, but when I went to see Secretariat a couple of weekends ago I think I have to make one more. That was a wonderful story and some of it was filmed in Lexington.

I am in awe of the amount of work that has gone into this.
Just beautiful. It caught my eye right away. You are so talented!
E'veramente stupendo!
Ciao ciao Domenica
What a beautiful quilt!
I'm not familiar with your technique on stained glass applique, but I need to look into it! Very nice work, and wonderful colors.
Very pretty and eye-catching. I love these types of quilts. Maybe someday I'll attempt one.
An absolutely beautiful quilt
I'm usually not drawn to this type of quilt, but yours is absolutely stunning! Amazing quilt!
This is beautiful! Thanks for sharing it:)
So pretty! I'd love to see the rest of your horse quilts!
What an amazing piece of art! I was able to zoom in a little--the quilting adds even more. It almost looks like metallic thread--is that right?
Stunning! I love the way you've quilted it, too.
I saw the question you asked on the Quiltart list about black dyes, do you dye your own backgrounds for these stained glass pieces? I, too have had problems with the Jet Black and Soft Black dye powers, they come out either grey, bluish, have red specks, or look purplish. I'm curious to find out what people suggest!
Amy done excellent work with Festival and you've done excellent work with your quilt! It's absolutely amazing!
Outstanding.
That is one gorgeous quilt! Wow!
I believe you are a true artist. I'm a wannabe.
I was fortunate to see that in person at the library!! So nice that I'm lucky enough to see it again here!! Beautiful work!!
